Some Good News For A Change

Time Magazine published an article about the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The article states how they upheld the 1964 Civil Rights Act as it applies to LGBT employees. Please read about at the link below. Eight of the eleven judges were appointed by Republican presidents.

How Special Interest Groups Have Changed Trump

Fareed Zakaria wrote in his Washington Post column about health care this week. One of the quotes from President Trump that caught my attention was a quote from his 2000 book “The America We Deserve”. The following shows just how much his opinion has changed or his loyalty to his supporters has changed his opinion:

I’m a conservative on most issues but a liberal on this one. We should not hear so many stories of families ruined by healthcare expenses. . . . We must have universal healthcare. . . . The Canadian plan . . . helps Canadians live longer and healthier than Americans. There are fewer medical lawsuits, less loss of labor to sickness, and lower costs to companies paying for the medical care of their employees. . . . We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.”

Has he been influenced by special interest groups or has he really changed his mind on such an important issue? As you probably know our President has changed his mind on issues ranging far and wide. Whatever fits his mood at that moment seems to be his opinion. Never mind that his truth is ever changing and what ever comes out of his mouth is the truth for the time being.

Maybe for once he should look back at what he said and think about the country for a change. Not just blasting the present laws and regulations into history.
