There’ll be Hell to pay

A few days ago Trump mentioned that Republicans that didn’t vote for his disastrous health care bill would have to pay the price. Just what did he mean? Since we never really knows if he means what he says what are these lawmakers to think? Will he send over someone to slap their hand? Maybe a little swat on the behind would be the right reaction? Did he mean that he would not support them in their reelection campaigns? What he said later was that there are elections in 2018 and 2020 that would be lost if this health care bill doesn’t pass. What he really meant is that if his bill does not make it through there will hard times ahead for him and his followers because all credibility will have lost. He will have no power. That is a scary thought for a man such as President I Need Your Love.

The health care bill is flawed in so many ways. It hurts the rural low income folks who supported Trump. It helps the city dwelling high income folks who also supported him. The undereducated were duped by Trump while the rich highly educated knew exactly what was going on. Take from the poor and give to the rich. That really seems to be the Trump motto.

Please call your representatives, be they Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever, let them know they have to vote down this bill. The reaction to the Muslim ban was the shot across the bow. The defeat of the health care bill will be the first real blow to ship.

After this we can only hope the Diane Feinstein is correct in her coy way.

Comey and Rogers and Trump and Other Things

So…The House (un)Intelligence Committee had it’s big party today. What a day! Director Comey refutes claims that Obama surveilled Trump. Also admits that Russia / White House investigation has been underway since August. One interesting question was why did this not come out until now when the investigation into Clinton came out in October. Comey actually had a good answer. The Clinton investigation was over, this one isn’t.

Director Comey said that he has no information that would lend any credibility to the Obama surveilled me tweets by Trump. Director Rogers agreed with a questioner that it was “ridiculous” to think that British Intelligence would obtain information on Trump for Obama.

This interrogation went on for about 5 hours and was mostly a way for the Republicans to dismiss any evidence that may be out there and for the Democrats to obsess over the same evidence. What a way to run a country. Committees like this should not be partisan. As Joe Friday always said “Just the facts ma’am”. But if you put a bunch of politicians in a room for 5 hours what can you expect. The bluster and hubris in that room was out of this world. One committee member even went as far to say that he told people during the campaigns that Russia would be interfering in the election. But that no one paid attention until the Democrats lost. Of course he is a republican.

Then there is Representative Gowdy, He who thinks reporters should be prosecuted for reporting leaks. While at the same time accusing Obama team of being the leakers. Of course he offered no proof. Try as he might he could not get Comey or Rogers to admit that anyone in particular was under investigation in the Russia scandal.

Our beloved (Un)President says that the FBI and NSA told Congress that they had no evidence that Russia influenced the election. Close but not quite right. Comey admitted that while no evidence showed any influence in the election the investigation is not over and not everything has been released yet.

Meanwhile down in Louisville Trump wasd holding a (2020 campaign) rally. Once again diverting attention from the real dealings in Washington.

Turns out it much too difficult to keep up with two different Facebook pages. So I have gone back to my original site. Any of you who follow my site, which would be anyone reading this on my Facebook Timeline will just have to put up with personal stuff and my ranting and raving!

I will probably do most of the rants and raves from this blog (thewordbynamdoogkirblog.wordpress.com). Feel free to follow me here too. You’ll be able to share directly from the blog.

Thanks for putting up with me and my many changes.
